We went here after a recommendation from a Syrian friend, who said eating here was like being back in Syria! That was reason enough for us to drive all the way from the Dubai Marina to Sharjah and boy were we not disappointed. We started with lentil soup while the kitchen staff cooked our grills to perfection, then the kibbeh followed, which was 100% authentic, thin crispy outside with a well season and delicious mince lamb filling inside. Included in the 1KG mix grill we ordered was a plate of delicious Houmous, Moutabal, several plates of salad and pickles. The mixed grill included Kafta, chicken and lamb shish, all perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned. When we arrived, which was just after Friday prayers, the place was starting to fill up, and by the time we were leaving there were groups of people waiting to be seated all adding to the lovely ambience. Our only gripe some of the non-Arabic waiting staff, of which there many, didn't seem like they wanted to be there or happy to have our custom. Out total bill was a very reasonable 250 AED, I only wish they had a branch closer in Dubai as I would be there every week!
