Virginia Angus is the steakhouse Sharjah's Corniche was quietly waiting for. Set along the sea at Al Heera with both indoor seating and a broad outdoor terrace, the restaurant frames an easy Gulf view and leans into it with warm lighting, clean contemporary styling and a menu that takes its grill seriously. On a mild evening the terrace is the obvious choice; the dining room is equally comfortable when the wind picks up. The kitchen is built around Angus beef, and the steaks are the reason to book. The ribeye arrives tender and correctly cooked to order, juicy without being heavy, with enough character on the crust to carry the meat on its own. The burger - a proper beef patty rather than a gastropub imitation - has quickly become a signature, and there is enough beyond the grill to keep a mixed group happy: chicken parmesan, pasta, risotto, generous salads, a lettuce-and-chicken plate with a sharp dressing, and fresh mojitos and milkshakes from the bar. Service is attentive and personal, with floor staff who clearly enjoy the food they are selling. Breakfast has recently been added to the offering. Pricing sits at the upper end of Sharjah's casual-dining range, which reads as fair for the grade of beef and the setting; portions are generous enough that ordering a starter and a main between two is rarely under-ordering.
