Danial is Sharjah's long-running buffet institution, occupying the third floor of Crystal Plaza on King Faisal Street with a wide terrace that looks across to the Central Souq and Khalid Lagoon. The operation is built for scale: long tables of hot and cold starters, Iranian grilled meats, Arabic mezze, Indian and Pakistani curries, rice, seafood stations with prawns and occasional crab, and a busy dessert run with saffron tea and freshly baked bread brought to the table. A flat per-head price (drinks and ice cream charged separately) keeps the bill predictable, and children dine at a discount.
The kitchen's strengths are the grilled meats and kebabs - tender tikkas, juicy lamb and beef skewers - and the sheer breadth of choice across cuisines. Seafood selection is respectable, and the Persian side of the menu, while lighter than the name might suggest, produces a handful of reliable dishes. Pricing sits at the value end of Sharjah dining, and the setting is genuinely pleasant in the cooler months when the terrace comes into its own with lagoon views.
The trade-offs are the ones familiar to any high-volume buffet. Weekends and iftar draw heavy crowds from tour groups and families, which can stretch service and the serving lines, and a handful of dishes can sit a little too long at the station, particularly later in the evening. Go at the start of a service for the freshest turn of the buffet, sit on the terrace when the weather allows, and come prepared for a lively family atmosphere rather than a quiet meal. For variety and value with a view, it still earns its place on the Sharjah map.

Visited the Danial Iranian Restaurant on many occasions, it on the 3rd floor of the Crystal Plaza Shopping Mall on King Faisal Street, Sharjah. This restaurant is very spacious and there are tables outside, weather permitting. It always seems to be busy especially with families, there are plenty of staff members available but sometimes the service can be on the slow side. There is a large selection of starters, mains and desserts available including Iranian staples and also International dishes and these are regularly replenished. This is a great buffet restaurant and is centrally located and is adjacent to the Central Souq and Khaled Lagoon. Hope to keep returning.

This restaurant is ok, but only just. There is an acceptable veriety of dishes, if very oily, although they are not always stocked up quickly. Plates, glasses, etc need an extra clean. The floor plan was ok, but the buffet was very crowded. beware of large groups, or parties as they don't get a seperate section. This is quantity over quality. I tried the restuarant once, and the catering a couple of times at parties- not one of my favorites. Besides, there are a lot of nicer restaurants that offer better value. Hope this helps !
