Description
McGettigan's FJR is the Irish pub of record in Fujairah, attached to the Fujairah Tennis Club and doubling as the city's most social licensed venue. The room is dressed for what it is: warm wood, low lighting, darts in the corner, a long bar, a handful of outside tables for cooler evenings. The Friday carvery brunch is a weekly draw, Tuesday trivia and ladies' nights pull the expat crowd, and the regular live-music slots keep the midweek livelier than anywhere else in the city.
The menu reads as pub-classic: pork dishes, pies, burgers, grills, roast plates, the usual shareables. Pork chops, the carvery plate and the Friday roast are the orders the regulars back; hummus and heavier starters have drawn mixed reports and are better swapped for the kitchen's meat-forward side. Drinks are priced reasonably for the category, with Carlsberg on draught and a workable wine list for a pub.
Service is the consistent bright spot. A core floor team - Trina, Florence, Sebastian, Bunty, Vincent and Marlon among them - knows the regulars by name and keeps the mood lively without tipping into loud. Music volume occasionally overshoots on busy nights; if you want a table for conversation, arrive earlier in the evening or take an outside seat. As a social anchor rather than a dinner destination, McGettigan's is a dependable first stop in Fujairah.

In a small town like Fujairah, you need a social place where you feel at home... this is the feeling I get every time I'm at the Mcgettigans. The staff(especially Trina and Florence) are friendly, smiling every time they serve you and I love how they suggest meals if one can't make up their mind. Would recommend it to anyone visiting or living in Fujairah Review collected in partnership with this restaurant

Absolutely disgusting food and arrogant Manager! We had to complain a few times to make them reduce the volume, music was SO loud that we could not speak! we just could not hear each other at all! Pork chops tasted awful, tough and chewy meat, returned it back to the kitchen! Fujairah has a lot better places to go to! Review collected in partnership with this restaurant

Had a business meeting here including food and drinks. Place is clean and staff are friendly. However food is awful. We were served hummus and Arabic bread and the bread was completely solid. Salad came with brown bread which was so heavy it would be impossible to eat. A good place to come for a drink but forget the food. I was left completely unimpressed. Won't be coming back at all.
