The dining room is clean, simply dressed, and has a selection of Bosnian art and design touches that give the small room a genuine sense of place. The menu's centre is the grilled meat. Cevapi (small hand-shaped beef sausages), shish kebabs, pljeskavica (the Balkan burger patty), and mixed grill platters anchor most orders, accompanied by somun flatbread, fresh onion salad, kajmak (clotted cream cheese) and simple salads in the Bosnian style. The grilling is done over proper high heat, which delivers the smoky char that defines the cuisine. Portions are healthily large and the cooking is genuinely juicy. Prices are fair for the ingredient quality. Service is friendly and attentive, with a small team that is happy to explain the cuisine to first-time diners. For something genuinely different from the typical Lebanese-Indian-international roster dominating the city, and a proper Bosnian grill at honest pricing, this corniche-side kitchen is an unexpectedly rewarding find.
