Description

Kairali is a long-running South Indian restaurant on the ground floor of the City Tower Hotel in Fujairah city, set directly opposite the Novotel complex with a separate street entrance. The decor is modest and the look is unpretentious; the kitchen, not the design, is what draws guests back, and the price point is consistently one of the fairest in the city. The menu centres on Kerala cooking with a wider Indian reach. The tandoori prawns are a genuine highlight - eight to ten medium-to-large juicy prawns on a flatbread base at notably fair prices - and the Kerala-style fish curry in coconut milk, the biryanis (spice-adjustable on request), and the tandoori chicken are the other orders regulars return for. A daily dinner buffet runs at exceptional value with options such as lollipop chicken, masala prawns, butter chicken, beef roast, Indian breads and dessert. Indian breakfast is similarly well priced - around half of what the hotel restaurants nearby charge. Service is friendly and attentive, and complimentary sides - raita, pickles, small salads - appear generously without being prompted. Alcohol is served, which is uncommon for a South Indian kitchen in the region and useful to know. The room runs quieter than its quality would suggest; weekends fill up later in the evening. For a reasonably priced South Indian sit-down with a genuinely good kitchen, Kairali is the reliable pick.

Indian Breakfast nice and cheap buffet breakfast the price is half of the other hotels so for me it is worth to paid for Value Service Food

We are staying in different hotel and one of our good friends recommended to eat outside our hotel and visit the hotel next door for a nice and delicious indian food. It was really amazing. I am not a fan of indian food but I will definitely come back here and eat again. They really made the Biriyani very nice and they adjusted the spiciness of it according to my liking. It's one of the bests biryani i have ever tasted. Full of flavours. The spices are added equally. The prices of their food was reasonable. Staff was good and I find them really friendly. Two thumbs up for Kairali Restaurant!

We had lunch here whilst staying at the City Tower Hotel. It is conveniently situated on the ground floor, with a separate entrance from the street. The service was good, the only small problem was a bit of miscommunication with the waitress who didn't speak very good English (e.g. when I asked for Poppadoms, at first she said they only had them in the evening!), The restaurant manager was very friendly and attentive. But the food - we were very impressed. In fact the Tandoori prawns could be the best prawns I have ever tasted - it was actually a starter dish but should be listed as a main. About 8 - 10 medium/large prawns - so juicy and tasty. On a bed of salad covered with flatbread with accompanying sauce. At only 30 dhs!!! Amazing. We also had a fish curry in coconut milk - fantastic sauce. With a beer bucket (5 beers for 65 dhs) the total bill was about 130 dhs. I didn't know whether to give a 'very good', or excellent, because the decor is a bit naff, and we wouldn't go for a special occasion, but because of the food, decided it deserves an 'excellent'.
