Caliente Cafe is a revival of a beloved old Fujairah address, reopened opposite the Higher College of Technology and already pulling in former regulars drawn by nostalgia for the original menu. The dining room is small, warmly lit and set for a relaxed sit-down meal rather than a quick bite; the staff remember faces and repeat orders, and the overall feel is more neighbourhood bistro than city-centre restaurant. The menu is all-day European-accented comfort food. Signature orders include a proper lasagne, fettuccine Alfredo, Caesar salad, sirloin steak and chips, and a pizza pan roll that regulars rate above the pizza itself. Desserts hold their own as a destination in themselves - the black forest cake and toffee cheesecake are worth leaving room for. Coffee is treated seriously, making this a workable breakfast and afternoon stop in addition to the dinner sitting. Execution is consistent, portions are substantial, and prices sit fairly for the quality.
