Holiday Inn Riyadh Meydan is a modern IHG mid-scale hotel close to the Olaya corridor, set up as a dependable base for business travellers and short-stay visitors who want a known international brand within reach of the central districts. The lobby is large and contemporary, the restaurant and cafe sit just off it, and check-in is generally swift. The hotel runs an airport shuttle, which is the more comfortable way to arrive given the surrounding road works that can make taxi pick-ups and drop-offs awkward.
Rooms are modern and well kept, with comfortable beds, in-room tea and coffee, complimentary Wi-Fi and clean, compact bathrooms - several rooms feature glass-walled toilet pods that solo travellers will not mind but couples may want to note. Suite upgrades, when available, are noticeably more spacious. The trade-off is variability: some rooms face the inner atrium without an external view, others run warm in the afternoon sun, and certain showers tend to flood the bathroom floor. A higher floor with an outward-facing window is worth requesting.
The ground-floor restaurant runs all-day buffets, with a generally strong breakfast spread covering Arabic and international staples and a popular lunch and dinner offer that is competent rather than extravagant. Service from front-line staff - reception, housekeeping, restaurant team - is consistently warm. The leisure facilities are the property's weakest area: a small pool and a compact gym with limited equipment that suit a quick workout but little more.
This is a sensible business choice for travellers who value brand consistency, IHG points and a central-ish location over leisure scale. Be specific at booking about non-adjoining rooms, breakfast inclusion and invoice details, and the stay tends to deliver. Families and leisure guests seeking pool time or a quieter setting will be better served elsewhere.

Room is not clean....tables are dirty, carpets are FILTHY, ketchup on the curtains, there is trash under the beds, and there was even garbage in the trash can when I checked in. They have trouble cleaning surfaces, I don't trust anything else. Luckily, I haven't really heard much noise outside my room. Had to call over an HOUR to the front desk just so I could get some water (stuck in room because of quarantine). They say they have to wait 3 days between guests to clean the rooms used for quarantine? Then why are you renting them out? Why is housekeeping knocking on my door everyday and asking to come in to clean? Spoke to the manager and he obviously does not care. Housekeeping/room service staff are nice and friendly though. My company has a contract with this hotel; I will do everything in my power to ensure the contract is voided. Left a review on google as well, but couldn't upload the pictures.
