Golden Tulip Riyadh occupies a useful spot close to the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, with Hamra Mall about a fifteen-minute walk away and a supermarket and a couple of Starbucks within a few hundred metres. The position works well for business travellers attending events at the fairgrounds and for tourists who want a central enough base to taxi out to the major sights without committing to the higher rates of Olaya.
Rooms are large and bright, with the executive category offering a noticeable step up in space and comfort for a modest premium. Beds are generously sized, the air-conditioning is effective and housekeeping consistency tends to be high. The hotel covers the expected facilities: a fitness centre, an in-house restaurant and a standout rooftop terrace with a panoramic pool that doubles as a pleasant aperitif spot in the evening. Breakfast is international in character, with fresh fruit and a broad sweet and savoury spread.
Two caveats are worth noting. Rooms facing the main avenue carry persistent traffic noise that the double glazing only partially tames, so a higher floor or rear-facing room is the safer ask. The in-house restaurant is workmanlike rather than a draw in itself, which matters less given the dining options within walking distance. Overall, a dependable mid-tier address for business stays and exhibition visits.

I visited Golden Tulip from 15th to 18th may during a business trip. It has a great position, very near to exhibition center. The hotel has all comforts, restaurant, pool, gym and a fantastic rooftop. Rooms are big and very clear. The stuff is gentle and professional. Highly recommended.

firstly its really hard as a tourist to find a hotel thats exactly in the right area of riyadh...the place is huge and a metropolis in saudi anyway i ended up in the golden tulip, it was a good choiceits pretty much in the centre of all the things you'd need to do as a tourist in this crazy busy citycheck in was very quick and staff friendly room was big, very big...opted for the executive room as the price increase was reasonable compared to the standard roombed was huge and seriously comfortable , there was also a sofa in the room which would have been handy if there'd been anything decent to watch on the tvair con was excellent and room was a nice temperaturenever had breakfast but did have a chicken kebab (£10) in the restaurant every night i stayed...was excellenttheres a supermqrket about 300m away and the hamra mall is a 10-15 min walk away (good luck with that!), pavement ran out after 300-400m and a couple starbucks nearby toogive yourself plenty of time too if you book uber, can take some time for taxis to get there with the trafficoverall a really comfortable stay...the golden tulip was a great choice and i'd certainly return again if i ever return to riyadh
