Not impressive at all. We had lunch at this restaurant today. The place seemed to be pretty impressive- with enough seating and the restaurant was well lit and neat as well. Their menu was too extensive- Seafood being their specialty but again like all other restaurants of this category they too served Indian, Chinese, Arabic, Iranian & what not!!. Since seafood was what they claimed was popular, we decided to order everything seafood- Appetizer- we ordered the Mixed seafood grilled; Mains- we ordered the King Fish Masala, Butter Nan & a seafood Biriyani. Regarding the Seafood grilled- we felt that they didn't take good time to cook the dish properly- of course this must have been prepared on a grill or in a tandoor and we are quite sure they haven't turned the skewers in the heat at least a few times- cause the spices on one side was well done and the other side remained slightly raw- thereby the squid was cooked right on one side and the other underdone ( not raw), prawns rubbery and fish- the same as the squid. Quantity wise- enough for two people but according to the price- not worth. King fish Masala- one slightly thin piece of a round steak of fish covered in lots of gravy is what i would describe--Onion and tomato based gravy with a fish fried in it and again that was dry. Seafood Biriyani- rice was cooked well but there was this gravy at the bottom which was too flowy and it tasted like some other curry. Wouldn't call it a biriyani- cause it was two different things in one dish- components didn't complement each other. Nan was also not that good. Overall a disappointing visit to this restaurant-even though the ambience was good, they failed to impress with their food. The well dressed waiters aren't sure of their best dishes, their so called specialty failed undoubtedly, service too poor as well- they served everything together- seemed like they wanted us to leave so early. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone- cause hard earned money should be well spent.
