Description
Sadaf Restaurant is the Ras Al Khaimah branch of one of the UAE's oldest Iranian restaurant groups, operating since 1985 with its original Dubai roots intact. The dining room is traditionally styled - warm wood, Persian-inspired fabrics, considered lighting - and the emphasis is unapologetically on the food rather than on trend-driven design.
The kitchen works the classical Persian repertoire at a high standard. Chelo kabab with Zereshk polo (barberry rice) and lamb tikka both come up as signatures, ladyfinger gravy with Baghali polo is a standout for guests wanting a vegetable-forward alternative, and the complimentary accompaniments - a house Iranian soup, salad and yoghurt - give every main the traditional table presentation. Aash Reshteh as a starter is the regulars' pick. A Lebanese-inspired section widens the menu for mixed tables, and portion sizes are genuinely generous, so regulars advise ordering conservatively.
Pricing has famously been kept close to the original levels for decades, which makes Sadaf one of the better-value serious dinners in the city. Service is attentive and personable - the whole floor team pitches in rather than staying behind a single section - and the restaurant handles delivery orders with the same quality as the dine-in service. For an authentic Persian meal in RAK, this is one of the most credible standalone options available.

GOOD FOOD AND NICE SERVICE. We went for dinner to this Lebanese restaurant and had delicious lamb tikka; as part of the deal one is served with a delicious Iranian soup with a salad and yoghurt.\nNice, attentive waiters and good value for money.\nIt would have been perfect with some background music!

Best Iranian Cuisine. The food selection is unlimited with Sadaf as its well known Iranian restaurant with most of Iranian plus mixture Arabic food.\nThe taste will surprise you as it’s served fresh although if it’s delivered at your place.\nAs an advance advice will highly recommend two main courses as they are my favorite ones 1- Chelo Kabab lamp with Zereshk polo. 2- Ladyfinger gravy with Baghali rice. One Appetiser 1- Aash Reshte.
