What a great place!. An all round great place to eat local and other Middle Eastern cuisine from freshly made well seasoned shawarma to a full banquette of traditionally slow roasted meats on beds of flavorsome rice served with all the salads, dips you name it.\n\nWhat a place, great service and very clean.\n\nI have been here with friends but recently I brought my wife and in-laws here from the UK and we had a whole slow roast lamb shoulder on a bed of rice. All served with traditional starter of amassing tasting soup, followed by fattoush salad, dips with Arabic bread and Kuba. I did order the lamb a day before as it was a special order. however, oh my days it was worth it. The lamb fell off the bone and the rice was to die for. Both my wife and in-laws were very impressed and were converted to Arabic cuisine.\n\nThey made us fresh pomegranate juice and it was awesome. what a refreshing change to western food.

3.5/5. Good Lebanese restaurant in rak\n\nMix grilled is good 3/5\n\nBut checkin tawook and meet arayed were below average\n\nRecommendation:\n\nWill go again for sure but will not order checkin tawook

Very good Levantine restaurant. The Karam Al-Sham near the Lamp Roundabout in Al Juwais, Ras al-Khaimah is, I am told, an official branch of the well-known Syrian-Lebanese restaurant of the same name from Abu Dhabi. The restaurant is housed in an expansive stand-alone complex which itself is divided into two sections, one for dining, lounging and shisha smoking, and the other for families and dining only. The interior is a little too gaudy and OOT for my tastes but it’s clean and cool which is what’s important at this time of year.\n\nThe restaurant serves typical Levantine cuisine and we ordered a number of salads and Mezza to start with a mixed grill to follow. I must say, while the food itself was very good, I felt it took them a while to serve us…even though the restaurant was far from full. I particularly enjoyed the Shish Tawook which rather than dipping in garlic sauce I dipped in their delicious Hummus – Yum.\n\nService was friendly but, as I mentioned before, really slow. That said, if Levantine cuisine is what you’re craving, or lounging with some shisha…and condiments is what you fancy, then Karam Al-Sham is an option to consider.\n\nHey!
