Brews & Co

Brews & Co is a family-owned speciality café in Ras Al Khaimah and one of the few genuine micro-roasters in the emirate, working primarily with Ethiopian single-origin beans roasted in-house. The room is funky and homely - mismatched wood tables, warm lighting, personal touches throughout - and the owners are usually on-site, happy to walk guests through the coffee programme from farm to cup. The menu stretches further than the café format suggests. A proper slow-bar, pour-over, espresso and cold-brew coffee programme sits alongside a signature nitro-infused tea and hibiscus blends, cold-pressed juices and house frappes. Food is all-day: breakfast plates with eggs cooked to request, sandwiches and wraps, a waffle section (the Nutella and Zanzibar waffles are signatures), protein-focused bakes and cookies, and a genuinely substantial gluten-free and vegan section. Ingredients are sourced deliberately. Service is community-minded; regulars know staff by name, and the owner's presence on the floor turns first-time visits into mini-tutorials on the coffee. The view is pleasant, seating is private and comfortable, and pricing sits at fair value for the quality on offer. For a speciality-coffee seat in RAK, it's the best answer - and a more interesting destination for breakfast or a healthy snack than most of the resort-district cafés.
