Reunion is Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort's French brasserie, set in a handsomely appointed room with views across the resort gardens and a terrace that comes into its own on mild evenings. The styling nods to the South of France - soft creams, dried lavender accents, warm timber, copper touches - and keeps the mood elegant without tipping into starchy formality. The menu runs a proper brasserie programme: beetroot carpaccio and house gnocchi in the starters, fall-off-the-bone lamb shank (épaule d'agneau braisée), perfectly cooked steaks, and a signature sea bass for two that regulars photograph before cutting.
