Set within the One&Only Royal Mirage's Arabesque grounds, this spa leans unapologetically into theatre: domed hammam rooms, mosaic floors, hand-poured water from traditional bowls and a pace that evokes a bathhouse rather than a treatment room. The Royal Oriental Hammam is the headline experience, a full ritual of steam, black-soap cleanse, loofah exfoliation, mud wrap or honey facial, pashmina drape and rose oil finish, followed by Arabic tea and dates in a candle-lit resting room. Compared to the traditional baths of Marrakech or Istanbul, the standard of product, hygiene and personal attention holds its own. Beyond the hammam, the menu covers reflexology, Moroccan and Balinese massage, stress-release work and longer Royal packages that add facials, manicures or haircare. Strong therapists, including Moroccan specialists trained in the traditional scrub, are the draw, and when the booking lands well the results are genuinely memorable. Noora, Saif, Juvilyn, Batool, Mehdi and Hania are among the names guests ask for by preference. The wider experience is uneven enough to warrant a clear-eyed note. The spa is split by gender with some shared facilities opening only in the afternoon, which surprises couples expecting joint access to sauna and pool; the sauna and plunge pool are compact; and service at the front desk has swung between gracious and disengaged. Treatment quality outside the hammam, particularly generic massages added to packages, has been uneven, so booking a named therapist and sticking to the signature rituals is the safest path. For a genuine Arabian bathhouse experience in a beautiful setting, it remains distinctive.

I had the royal hammam and it exceeded my expectations. I am an avid spa-goer and this is one of my top three experiences ever. Front desk and hammam staff were excellent. The service was well done and all the products used were top notch. The hammam is extremely luxurious and loved the use of pashminas instead of towels to wrap guests. offering arabic tea and dates in the resting room after the treatment was much appreciated, as well as the application of rose oil to the face and perfume as a finishing touch. Truly felt like a sheikha at the end! As a westerner my only minor complaint was being asked to wear a bikini. I am used to European and Asian spas where clients are nude. Once the body scrub began the therapist took my top off, but the bottoms definitely got in the way and I would have preferred to be nude.

Not only is Seif the manager rude, I had the following issues to deal with: 1. The A/C in my therapy room was blasting and noisy, and when I asked the masseuse to turn it off during my session I was told that it is not possible - I didn't really understand his English fully but I think he was trying to tell me that it was a master control and rooms cannot be individually controlled! 2. My room did not have music playing and I again had to ask for it during my session, the therapist then went and fiddled with the controls and wasted time from my therapy session, (other spas in Dubai would ask about your music preference at the reception and upon registration, and have this prepared before you start the session). 3. I was not even asked what is my preferred massage pressure nor did they ask if I wanted to focus on any one area of my body, and therefore the therapist had no idea what I wanted to achieve from my session, (again, other spas in Dubai would ask about this at the reception and upon registration, and the masseuse would be informed of this ahead of time), 4. We were offered tea that we waited 20 minutes for and never got, 5. I know for sure that our session was booked for 2:00pm so we arrived at 1:45, the manager said that our session was booked at 2:15. Normally, I have no problem with this but they just left us to wander around without any information on what we can do for the 30 minute wait, the staff seemed lost and had no idea what to do with us. It looked like the staff are untrained and have no initiative/training on how to make a guest feel welcome, its like they were annoyed by us being there, When I go to a spa with this caliber and fees, I expect to be spoiled and not have to worry or stress about anything - this is not what I got and in fact I was annoyed and angry for most of my time there. An awful experience that I will never repeat, and one that I would never recommend to anyone.

The O&O got a very nice spa well oriented and stand for it self the minuet you arrive you are greeted with a nice smile, then takes you to Souna, pool, Hamam which is perfect experience with exultant Moroccan team,however, moving to the massage which included in my Pkg. I was very relax and even thinking about my agenda to come again but then I was surprised when I found a man waiting for me to escort me to the room unfortunately that was not explained to me at the reception!! However, I accepted since he explained me this the rules in Dubai mam to man which I investigated latter on and was no throw, following that a loud arabic music with playing in the back ground specifically for bellydance not for massage or for meditation!!!! I explained this to the gentleman and no action taken such as close it ! Since I start to be very stress from un professional atmosphere as will his treatment which is the kind of hard and unpleasant to me ! I passed this to the managment who offer me discount as I was looking for this so once again I am not even happy with there discount and I believe in a place like this we should have a full experience not half with discount!!!!
