Reception is unhurried, first-timers are greeted by name, and early arrivals are offered pineapple-mint juice and a hot towel in a dimly lit waiting area before appointments that tend to start on time, sometimes a few minutes early. The menu covers Swedish relaxation, Thai, revitalising and deep-tissue massage, facials with a short complementary back massage and warm-pad treatment, and packages for guests using the hotel pool and gym. Heated massage beds and unusually attentive use of hot stones (rubbed through the muscle rather than simply placed along the spine) lift the signature sessions above a typical hotel-spa default. Therapists such as Pauline, Elsie, Angeli, Karen, Mayuree and Anil are named by repeat guests, with solid technique for neck, shoulder and lower-back work and the judgment to adapt pressure on the fly. The finish reinforces the impression: a post-treatment choice of ginger, mint or chamomile tea served in dainty porcelain, and a relaxed step back into the connected mall or hotel. Pricing is mid-market, and third-party vouchers often bring it into clear value territory. For a serious massage between flights, meetings or shopping trips in Deira, rather than a long wet-area retreat, it punches above the visibility its location suggests.

Who would have known that a spa exists here in Pullman hotel? I never knew about this spa and I searched for reviews but there were none online. Purchased a voucher for a revitalizing massage for 60 mins and I'm not disappointed. Soma spa is located on the 7th floor of Pullman hotel near Deira city centre. The entrance is easy to find. I was greeted by the receptionist by name! She asked me to wait at the reception area, where I was served Pineapple and mint juice with a hot towel. My appointment was for 4pm and I'm quite used to appointments usually starting off late but in SOMA the masseur met me at 3:45 and led me to the room. The massage room was clean and dimly light. I changed into the towel and the massage started. The massage bed is heated! The masseur Deiree I guess that was her name, performed a combination massage. With oil and hot stones and Thai massage all thrown in. But the best part was the use of hot stones, instead of the typical way of using hot stones placed in a line on the backbone she used the heat of the stones all over my back which felt much better! I didn't realize 60 mins flying by! At the end I took a hot shower and she asked me if I would like mint, ginger or chamomile tea. I choose ginger tea which was served in a dainty serving cup. Love the place! Would definitely go back!

The SOMA spa is located in Pullman Deira hotel and a convenient way to access this place is from the back end of Deira City Centre. The ambience of the spa, beginning from its lobby to the massage room is very good with soothing backround music and dimly lit lights everywhere. I had an excellent therapist by the name of Anil (would definitely recommend getting an appointment with him). He is very good at his technique and knowledge of this therapy. This is an appropriate mid-level Spa without too much of luxury nor too simple. However their prices are on the higher side and you can get a good experience at better 'ambience' places in the same price. I went there with a Groupon voucher. And the only reason I would go back is for the therapist,

was there yesterday with my husband great ambiance with or with no match going on we enjoyed the slow music..amazing chicken wings.....prices are fair special thanks to kala our bar man excellent service
