I used the shower facilities at the Be Relax spa in Terminal 3, Dubai airport this morning. The facilities are comfortable, clean and convenient. However, the water in the shower was cold. After I finished my shower, I told the spa staff who did not appear surprised. One said that it was because the person before me had used up all the hot water, another said that as an Australian (I’m not) I probably expected very hot water. I replied that I am Irish and know the difference between cold and warm water. The staff member then gave me the card payment machine. I said that she hardly expected me to pay full price when I hadn’t received the service promised. She said that there was no reduction so I paid but I said that I was very disappointed with the service and would write a review. Seriously, Be Relax Spa, you need to provide warm water and care about customer service. Warm water is a basic for your business.

On a layover I decided to spend some time getting a manicure including gel polish as my nails had be neglected during my 3 weeks of travelling and I was going to a Christmas party when I got back home. That was a complete waste of money and time! 5 hours after - in my next flight the first nail chipped, few hours after arriving home (10 hours approx) next nail chipped and 4 days after they all had chipped and I had to remove it. Normally gel lasts at least 7 days (often 10-days) for me. I wrote to them saying I would like a refund for the gel but of course would pay for the manicure it self. Here 3 weeks after they are "still investigating". They will not answer me on what they are investigating or what outcome of my complaint I can expect. I have lost patience and need to tell people to not waste money at Be Relax Spa. They do not care about customer service (which was also very apparent in the 50 minutes I spend there observing other customers and how they were treated)
