Seafood Market is a long-established fresh-seafood restaurant at Le Méridien Dubai near the airport, a room that has held its place as a serious destination for seafood lovers in the city for more than a decade. The concept is honest: a wet counter of the day's fresh catch is displayed as diners arrive, guests select their fish, prawns, lobster, and shellfish by the kilo, and the kitchen prepares them in one of a long list of cooking styles and sauces. The interior is bright and unfussy - tiled surfaces, cooler cabinets, crisp linens on the dining tables - and the atmosphere is genuinely about the ingredient rather than the room.
The kitchen's range is the real draw. The Singaporean chilli prawn sauce is the most repeatedly recommended finish and is genuinely among the best in the city, and the black-pepper, Cantonese, salt-baked, and steamed-with-soy preparations cover the wider Chinese-and-Southeast-Asian canon with authentic technique. Anchovies, soft-shell crab, Alaskan king crab, lobster, and a range of prepared sides round out the table well, and the kitchen is unusually capable of accommodating precise spice preferences and shellfish allergies without compromising the cooking.
Service is old-school in the best sense. The floor team is long-tenured and genuinely warm; servers help pick from the counter for first-time guests, remove prawn shells for diners eating alone, and read tables well across families, couples, and business dinners. Recommendations lean toward the most-ordered plates for the kind of fish selected, which is genuinely useful.
Pricing is honest: the bill depends on what is selected from the counter, and a shared two-person dinner with a couple of signature sauces lands squarely in the mid-range bracket rather than fine-dining. The near-airport location means a drive for mainland and Marina residents, but the restaurant consistently earns it. For a seafood dinner focused entirely on the catch and prepared with authentic Asian technique, Seafood Market is one of Dubai's quietly enduring institutions. Reservations are worth making for weekends.

As usual the food was great, what made it extra great was Sai Krishna our server’s attention to detail. He went above and beyond to make sure our order was to our preference. When he knew I like my food extra spicy he brought in two different levels of spicy sauce. Loved it and will certainly be back again.

We celebrated our fifth anniversary here and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the service, especially from Giwen, was exceptional! Insider tip: Ask the servers for their recommendations

The waiters and waitresses were kind and accommodating, and the food was really delicious. My spouse and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here — even though it’s a bit pricey, we gave it a try and it didn’t disappoint. We’ll definitely keep coming back.
