Rove Downtown trades on one of the most enviable addresses in the city: a short walk from the Dubai Mall and the base of the Burj Khalifa, with the metro and a shuttle to Kite Beach both on tap. The hotel leans into a playful, design-forward take on the midscale category, with a graffiti-tagged lobby, a 24-hour grab-and-go shop stocked with essentials, self-service laundry, and a TGI Fridays occupying the in-house restaurant slot for breakfast, lunch and late dinners.
Rooms are compact and purposeful rather than indulgent, fitted with firm king beds, walk-in rain showers, bottled water replenished daily, tea and coffee facilities, and a small fridge. The quieter upper floors face the Burj Khalifa directly, and the view-category rooms are worth the upgrade if the budget allows; at night the fountain show is visible without leaving the bed. Housekeeping standards are consistently tight, and the front desk - Nadia and the broader team earn particular goodwill - moves guests through check-in quickly, often well before the posted time when capacity allows.
The rooftop pool is the social heart of the property, heated in the cooler months and framed by a clean sightline to the tower. It fills quickly on weekends, so loungers are best claimed early. The breakfast buffet covers the expected range of pastries, fruit, hot mains and cooked-to-order eggs, and while selection and plate turnover can slip during peak periods, the quality is reliable.
The caveats are mild and consistent: rooms are genuinely small by Downtown standards, the TGI Fridays format will not suit travellers hoping for a more elevated hotel dining scene, and the pool bar service can lag at capacity. For guests prioritising a walkable Downtown base with modern, well-kept rooms and strong value, Rove Downtown remains one of the most practical picks in the neighbourhood.

Stayed six nights at The Rove Downtown Dubai, perfect location for getting around. From check in to departure the experience was seamless, all staff we interacted with were extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, fresh fruit, pastries and cooked food to order if you wanted. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff, they were all so helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant a couple of times, it’s a TGI Friday’s with a good menu. Food was exceptional. Nice bar to sit at in the evening and there was live music outside a few nights which was a nice experience. Room was good, clean and spacious, great walk in shower and an extremely comfortable bed. Bottled water replaced every day which is a nice touch. Tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. Will definitely be staying here on our bext trip to dubai.

Hotel with excellent location, you can walk to the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa. Staff friendly and helpful. The room had everything needed and was very clean. The pool has views of the burj khalifa, only used during the night and the water was at a very good temperature. I recommend this hotel for those who go to Dubai
