Paramount Hotel Midtown sits in the thick of Business Bay, a short drive from Downtown, the Dubai Mall, and the Burj Khalifa, and plays its Hollywood theme with more style than gimmick. Interiors lean into a polished mid-century Los Angeles palette - terrazzo, brass, graphic black and white - across a stylish lobby, stylish rooms, and a skyline-facing pool deck. Accommodations are spacious and impeccably kept, with soundproofed walls that genuinely hold, large picture windows, and city or Burj-facing views from the higher floors; suite upgrades are generous when the house permits.
The headline experience is Malibu Sky Lounge and Bar on the 64th floor, a glass-walled rooftop that delivers some of the city's most dramatic panoramas of Sheikh Zayed Road, the Burj Khalifa, and the Downtown skyline. The cocktail programme is well-made and creative, the Emily in Paris afternoon tea is a popular weekend draw, and the kitchen turns out competent pasta, sushi, and grazing plates. The lounge hums in the evening without tipping into a club energy, and sunset is the moment to book a window table. The ground-floor all-day restaurant handles a varied breakfast buffet, and in-room dining and the pool bar round out the casual options.
Service is the strongest thread across reviews, running from security and the front desk through housekeeping, the pool deck, and the restaurants. The cast, as the hotel styles its staff, is warmly attentive, quick to upgrade where possible, and unusually flexible on early check-in and late check-out when occupancy allows. Small specialist touches - a birthday ice cream sent up, a mocktail class at Malibu, bathroom amenities delivered within minutes - come through often enough to feel systemic rather than incidental.
A couple of honest caveats. Check-in queues can build at peak, and the poolside towel policy has been applied inconsistently from time to time, which is worth a polite word if it arises. Business Bay is very much a high-rise commercial quarter rather than a walkable neighbourhood, so guests wanting strolls and street life will lean on the car or Metro. Best suited to couples, design-minded travellers, and business guests who want a skyline room, a rooftop bar to call their own, and a ten-minute transfer to Downtown Dubai.

We had a wonderful stay and the service was truly amazing. From check-in to check-out, every experience from the pool bar and lounge to in-room dining and housekeeping was excellent. The staff were incredibly accommodating, approachable, and very friendly. Most of the team members went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Despite the current situation with the war, we felt safe and secure because of the care and comfort they provided.Kudos to all the staff members of this hotel for their outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended! ❤️
