Emirates Grand Hotel sits on Sheikh Zayed Road with direct metro access at Financial Centre station, placing the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and DIFC within a short taxi or metro ride. The building is a large apart-hotel tower with a supermarket, pharmacy, and casual food options in its ground-floor podium, which is useful for families and longer-stay guests who appreciate self-catering convenience. Higher-floor suites and one-bedroom layouts are genuinely spacious, and the highest rooms offer memorable skyline views across Sheikh Zayed Road toward the Burj.
The location and floor plan are the honest strengths of the property. Ground-floor amenities, excellent metro access, and the option of apartment-sized rooms at mid-range prices make it a functional base for guests who plan to be out most of the day. Breakfast is handled from an on-site buffet with a mix of international and Indian options, and a small pool and gym are available for downtime.
Candid notes worth flagging before booking: the property is older and rooms show wear in places, with fit-out and bathroom condition varying meaningfully between units. Housekeeping and front-desk service are inconsistent, and several recurring issues have been flagged by guests around tower condition, room-readiness at check-in, and amenities like towels and toiletries needing to be requested rather than appearing as standard. Documenting the room on arrival, confirming charges before check-out, and requesting a higher-floor, recently refurbished unit are sensible precautions. For travellers whose priority is location and space for price, and who are willing to trade hotel-polish for apartment-style convenience, this is a serviceable option - but guests seeking a consistent four or five-star experience should calibrate expectations accordingly.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the HypeI had high expectations from Emirates Grand Hotel, but sadly, the experience was far from satisfactory. The rooms were outdated, poorly maintained, and nowhere close to what the pictures promised. The cleanliness was questionable, and basic amenities were either missing or not working properly.Staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive to requests, and the overall service lacked warmth and professionalism. The check-in process was painfully slow, and even getting assistance with luggage felt like a task. The location might be decent, but it doesn’t make up for the subpar experience within the hotel. Would not recommend this place — definitely not worth the price or the stars it claims to have. There are far better options in Dubai that offer true value for money and actual hospitality.

Also known as the Sunday Mega Hotel. We were relocated to this ‘sister’ hotel after arriving in the early hours of the morning. The staff on reception were unfriendly, unhelpful and unsympathetic despite our predicament.Quite frankly the hotel looks nothing like the pictures and is well below the standards I would expect. We checked out in the morning, despite having paid for 6 nights at the ‘sister’ hotel, after spending a restless night due to the lack of double glazing despite being on a main road in a room that was dated and unpleasant.
