Atlantis The Royal rises from the crescent of Palm Jumeirah as one of Dubai's most architecturally ambitious hotels, a stacked, sand-toned composition of cantilevered blocks, cascading infinity pools and glass-bottomed suites designed to be seen and photographed. The property opened in 2023 as a more grown-up sibling to Atlantis, The Palm: darker palette, a stronger art programme, and a dining roster that reads like a Michelin and celebrity-chef roll call, with Nobu by the Beach, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, La Mar, Milos, Ariana's Persian Kitchen, Carbone, Ling Ling and Jaleo sharing the resort. Rooms in the Seascape and Queenscape categories frame either the Gulf or Palm-and-skyline views through floor-to-ceiling glass, with smart-glass bathrooms, generous balconies and a restrained cream-and-wood interior that lets the view do the work.
The all-day buffet, Gastronomy, genuinely rivals the destination restaurants for many guests: live stations, raw-bar sushi and seafood, a serious pastry programme and long opening hours. Families gravitate to the Little Explorers Kids Club, which keeps children occupied across ninja playgrounds, arts and crafts and themed activities, while adults split time between the central Royal Pool, Nobu's lounger-fringed stretch and a generous swathe of private beach. The Royal Club Lounge, reserved for upper-category rooms, delivers elevated breakfasts, evening canapes and dedicated hosts who anchor returning guests' stays. Service highlights tend to cluster around housekeeping, the Royal Club team and valet - consistently warm and detail-driven.
A resort of this scale inevitably has uneven edges. Front-of-house service at the main lobby and at peak dining times can feel more transactional than personal, with a handful of guests reporting brisk handling at valet, slow table turnovers at Carbone and occasional billing disputes worth checking on departure. Dining credits on half-board packages are easily outpaced by menu prices, so budget accordingly and reserve signature restaurants well in advance. For travellers seeking spectacle, a deep culinary line-up and a family-friendly playground-and-beach formula, Atlantis The Royal delivers at the upper end; those looking for hushed, Aman-style intimacy will feel the scale more than the polish.

✨ Gastronomi – Atlantis The RoyalI don't know if you call it a buffet... or a gastronomic trip.Gastronomi at Atlantis The Royal is one of those experiences where you don’t just go to eat — you go to live something. From the first moment you feel the luxury, not cunning, but substantial. The space is impressive, the live stations give a pulse and everything works with absolute organization. The variety? Unbelievable.High-quality sushi, fresh seafood, properly baked meats, pastries made in front of you, Arabic and Asian flavors — and desserts that really resemble fine dining patisserie. But the difference is not the quantity. It's the quality and the detail.Every dish has care. Every taste has a balance. And the service is exactly the level you expect from such a hotel: discreet, polite, professional. If you’re in Dubai and want an experience that combines luxury and essence, put it on your list.⭐️ Of the best buffet I have tried. The buffet manager (Hiede) was excellent with courtesy as well as all the staff (chefs and waiters)
