I took my husband here for his birthday and used groupon vouchers to book a spa loaf day which should have included a relaxing foot massage, access to all areas of recreational facilities and a buffet. Booking this itself was an appalling experience with unhelpful staff talking over me and getting the simple booking wrong not once but twice. From looking at the photos online I decided to still attend the booking as the hotel appeared to be fairly quirky and professional looking online, I then preceded to add to my booking an extra treat for my hubby by booking him an hour long aromatherapy massage. When we arrived on the day nobody seemed to have record of our booking, it took three people to look in one book to find it, after creating one hell of a scene and making us feel most uncomfortable in the reception area, I then still found myself repeating myself over and over again to tell them what we were booked in for. The spa was untidy, and the staff unhelpful. My husband was booked in for two treatments therefore should have come to meet me one hour after my treatment. After my treatment after having to ask 3 different people 3 or 4 times where it was, I decided to go and find the buffet. The food had flies around it and there was no one there to help you. My husband surprisingly returned to me half an our later eager to leave and visibly uncomfortable, in which he then quickly disappeared outside. He did not receive the treatment he was booked in for as the member of staff told him I had not yet paid for it, yet no one had asked me for PRE payment therefore I expected to pay once the treatment was complete! The gentlemen had instead decided to make up his own treatment! He told my husband to change but told him he could not where his swimming trunks in the spa as it was unhygienic (??!) therefore he was only wrapped in a towel, expecting to lie on a bed for his massage. The member of staff then took his towel and proceeded to rub him down with salts whilst standing! He then continued to speak to him in an inappropriate manner whilst being down in the lower region, making comments about his genitalia and unprofessional remarks about black men! He then tried to accompany him in the shower at which point my husband had had enough washed and left. What was supposed to be a relaxing and calming all inclusive birthday experience turned out to be a horrendous experience and a waste of time! When i complained I merely got passed onto someone else who then just told me to write down my details and management would call me when they returned, I am yet to receive that phone call!! The experience was horrible I did not pay to have my husband molested, the staff were rubbish and the website might show a beautiful hotel but not the dark dingy street in the middle of nowhere that it sits. I would not recommend the place to anyone and am in the right mind to call the police on the perverted member of staff. There are many lovely professional places to stay or just go to relax in Dubai... this isn't one of them!
