I visited 1847 City Walk today with my son for a haircut and ear & nose waxing. The barber’s name was Ahmad. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The wax used on my ears was far too hot and burned my ear. What’s worse is that nobody informed me about it at the time. I only discovered the burn when I felt the pain later during the facial. For a premium grooming brand that charges luxury prices, this lack of professionalism, attention, and care is unacceptable. When I raised the issue, I was given nothing more than a quick “sorry.” There was no genuine concern, no follow-up, and no offer of compensation. I left with a small but painful scar on my ear — something that could have easily been avoided with proper training and safety procedures. 1847 promotes itself as a high-end grooming experience, but this incident shows a serious gap in customer safety and service quality. At these price levels, I expect better care, higher standards, and more accountability. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously, reviews their safety protocols, and trains staff properly to ensure that other clients don’t face the same experience.
