Description
Gazebo is the Al Ain outpost of a well-regarded UAE Indian restaurant group, set inside Zakher Mall a short drive from Jebel Hafeet, Al Ain Zoo and Wadi Adventure. It is one of the more ambitious Indian dining rooms in the city, trading in a broad, book-length menu that spans North Indian classics, biryanis, regional curries and a confident tandoor section. The location is a little tucked away, but that same setting lends the restaurant a calmer mood than the main-road places closer to the centre.
The kitchen is at its best on the fundamentals. Curries read balanced rather than punishingly hot, with carefully layered spicing and good-quality proteins, and the tandoor produces tender kebabs and lightly blistered breads. Biryanis are generously portioned and plated with theatre, although the rice can occasionally outpace the flavour depth of the accompanying gravy. Vegetarian options are genuinely extensive, and the house's trademark presentation - copper vessels, small garnishes, a careful hand with plating - holds up across the menu. Some sweeter items, including fruit punch and the Kesar Falooda Kulfi, read thin on the promised ingredients, so order house specialities and filter kaapi or masala chai instead for a closer approximation of the tradition.
The room is split between an open dining floor and a handful of curtained family booths, which work well for groups with children or diners who want a private meal. Service under long-tenured front-of-house staff is warm, informed and quick to make recommendations, though quality of hospitality dips on the occasional busier evening.
Pricing sits on the upper side for Indian dining in Al Ain, matching the setting and the ambition of the menu, and represents fair value on the signature dishes. For a considered Indian dinner away from the city centre, particularly on a return from a day at Jebel Hafeet or the zoo, Gazebo is an easy recommendation.

Variety of choices for non veg as well as veg Indian Dishes but not authentic as claimed by restaurant. Kesar Falooda Kulfi contains plain Ice cream with few pieces of Falooda in it. No Kesar and no Kulfi in it. Fruit Punch is too sweet. Biryani presentation was good but taste was average. Staff was courteous. Few minutes drive from Jebel Hafeet / Wadi Adventure / Al Ain Zoo. They have private room set up for families which comes in very handy when you are with toddlers or kids who are hungry. The food is very delicious. We were a group of 11 people and they served food in a timely manner. Very polite staff. The access to this place is tricky. Might want to use Google Maps or NAV to get there. Exit to the main road from back of the mall is also tricky. Guess it would be okay soon!
