Description
TGI Friday's in Al Ain's Bawadi Mall delivers the familiar American casual-dining playbook in a brightly lit, family-friendly setting. It is not a destination restaurant, but for travellers missing a taste of home and families wanting a menu that covers steaks, burgers, pasta and a mocktail programme under one roof, it earns its place in the city's rotation.
The kitchen is most consistent on its steaks: the New York Strip, ribeye and tenderloin filet are the orders to lean on, cooked to the requested temperature and paired with garlic fries or a pepper sauce that is legitimately good. Beyond the grill, seafood pasta and the Alfredo pasta land well, burgers are generous if occasionally on the heavy side, and starters with garlic bread and sliders work for sharing. The lunch special - quesadilla, nachos and strawberry lemonade - is a genuinely useful weekday option, with enough food to share or carry home. Mojito-style mocktails and the passion-fruit smoothie are the drinks to order.
Service is warm and accommodating, with staff willing to adapt dishes for lower-salt or diabetic diners when asked. That said, consistency is the chief caveat: several visits note dishes arriving overly greasy, under-seasoned or mis-described from the menu, and pacing stretches during busy weekends. The dining room runs loud, closer in volume to a fast-casual venue than a quiet dinner, and prices sit on the higher end for the mall setting.
Entertainer vouchers are accepted, which meaningfully improves the value calculus, and the venue remains a solid weekday lunch or post-shopping dinner. Approach it for the steaks, the familiar comforts and the generous portions rather than culinary ambition.

I have always enjoyed TGIF restaurants. To be honest, in the United States, it is not one of my favorites however. The reason it is so outstanding to me here is the vegetarian choice they have had on the menu since shortly after opening. They have a lunch special that is only available Sunday through Thursday during their "lunch" hours, but it is awesome! It consists of a cheese quesadilla, cheese nachos, all the trimmings, and a strawberry lemonade. There is enough food I always can share or take food home for later. The service is wonderful, and all my friends agree that the food is very good and servings sizes are generous. No one ever leaves there hungry! We went there to have steak and it didn't disappoint us. The sauce on the side was delicious too. We ordered medium rare steaks and that is what we got on the plate. It's worth the visit. Value Service Food Atmosphere Review collected in partnership with this restaurant

Looking for some familiar American food? This was a very good dinner with most of the menu items you would expect. The service wasn't the best, but they did bring dessert and sing for my daughter's birthday.
