Royal House occupies a two-storey address on Al Baladiyya Street and stands out as the city's most ambitious Turkish restaurant. The interior leans into an opulent, palace-inspired design, with chandeliers, detailed wall panelling, plush upholstery and a handful of private upstairs booths that the team decorates on request for anniversaries, birthdays and proposals. The restaurant has built its reputation partly on these bespoke occasion set-ups - flowers, cake, music of your choice, table styling - which lift it from a standard meal out to an event.
The menu reaches beyond the usual Turkish grill roster, pulling in home-style dishes that are harder to find elsewhere in the UAE. The Testi kebab, served theatrically from a sealed clay pot broken tableside, is the signature to order; the Iskender kebab (shaved meat on pide bread in tomato sauce and yoghurt) and Ali Nazik are the other plates the kitchen handles with confidence. The royal and sultan mixed grill platters work well for sharing, and the mezze selection, homemade bread and dessert tray are all handled with care. Presentation is notably considered throughout.
Service is the area where guests' experiences diverge most. At its best, anchored by manager Natalia, the team is genuinely warm and goes to evident lengths on special occasions. At peak hours with a full reservation book, walk-ins and less prominent tables can experience longer waits and less attention. Two honest caveats worth naming: prices sit noticeably above comparable Turkish restaurants in Al Ain, and late-evening arrivals after 10:30pm may find the menu restricted. Book a specific table (ideally a private booth upstairs if you can), arrive early enough to enjoy the full menu, and flag any occasion when you reserve so the team can do what it does best.

Me and my wife went in for breakfast for our first visit, we called 20 minutes before arriving to make sure a table was available, no troubles. Arrived to find a really nice decoration and friendly staff, we had a private booth upstairs and enjoyed a huge breakfast. Food was really good and fresh! Everything came out quickly and service was nicely attentive. We really enjoyed the experience and were told if I had given more notice they could have made up the table with flowers and decorations to enhance our experience more. Well worth a visit.
