Description
Arabesque at Danat Al Ain Resort is the hotel's all-day buffet restaurant, set on the third floor in Al Sarooj with a pleasantly landscaped outdoor terrace that overlooks the pool. It anchors the resort's food and beverage programme, covering breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets with a full a la carte menu available alongside.
The standout is Thursday's seafood Market Night, which is a genuinely ambitious spread for Al Ain. A fresh display of prawns, lobster, kingfish, salmon and crab lets diners choose their own catch to be grilled, fried or steamed to preference, alongside a well-stocked raw bar with oysters on the half shell, sushi and maki rolls. A separate Arabic section covers hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh and hot mezze, and the dessert counter runs from crème brûlée and tarts to Arabic semiya and warm chocolate cake with ice cream. Wine is typically included in the seafood buffet price, which sharpens the value considerably. The Ramadan Iftar buffet is similarly generous, with live pasta, biryani, salad and dessert stations earning repeat visits from Al Ain families.
Breakfast is broad and dependable, serving both pork and halal sections, with a popular egg station that can get crowded at peak resort occupancy - patience helps. Regular weekday dinners are the weaker service: variety narrows, bread and some dishes occasionally feel repeated, and a handful of half-board guests have flagged tired spreads and understaffing. Time your visit to a themed night - Thursday seafood especially - for the best experience.
Service is warm and well-drilled, with long-standing managers and floor staff who make a visible effort to welcome returning guests. Pricing is mid-to-upper for Al Ain and fair for the quality on peak nights. For a relaxed resort buffet with a proper seafood spread, this is one of the city's more reliable picks.

A group of us went to the Iftah buffet at Arabesque in Danat resort( previously Intercontinental). For 116 dirhams all you can eat with several chefs presenting things like fresh pasta, choice of sauce cooked there on the spot, Biriyani rice, at least 20 salads, some with large prawns and on and on.Traditional and even black forest desert. Worth every fil. Review collected in partnership with this restaurant
