Description

Malabar Thattukada is a Kerala-themed restaurant in Ajman that makes an unusually committed effort with its interior, styling the main room as a traditional kettuvallam houseboat - carved woodwork, a long newspaper-style menu and video effects that approximate a cruise through the backwaters. The cooking backs up the setting. Fresh fish from the seafood counter, samudra sadya spreads served on plantain leaves, mango fish curry, sardine fry and a well-executed dum biryani are the dishes to order, and the staff are generous with recommendations for first-time guests. Pricing is reasonable, service is warm, and the ambience is one of the few in the emirate genuinely themed around Keralan tradition. Street parking can be tight at busy hours, so arriving a little early is sensible. A distinctive, character-led option for authentic Malabar cuisine.

have you ever wanted to experience a Kerala houseboat.... well this is the next best thing... having authentic Kerala cuisine in a houseboat atmosphere.... lip smacking dishes ... taste to perfection.... a must visit in Ajman

The food was absolutely delicious, from preparation to presentation.... wonderful, we especially enjoyed the lunch from Kettuvallam , its created moving house boat atmosphere in Malabar thattukada restaurant we had fresh fish from the seafood counter, its feel directly catching from the sea.., and "samudra sadya" all dishes are made with seafood in different tastes.., food, service and ambiance are excellent.., Keep it up MALABAR THATTUKADA Ajman... we will visit again...
