Description
Karachi Darbar is the Ajman outpost of the long-standing UAE Pakistani chain, a no-frills dining room that trades on authentic Peshawari and Mughlai cooking at working prices. The restaurant is split across two floors, with a street-level counter for takeaway and sweets and a family section upstairs. It keeps unusually long hours, from before dawn through until late at night, which makes it a dependable fallback for an early breakfast roti or a late biryani.
The menu is wide but the reasons to come are clear. The mutton dishes are a consistent strength, particularly the mutton biryani and mutton haleem, and the Peshawari chicken, butter chicken, karahi, and freshly baked tandoori roti and aloo paratha are the safer orders elsewhere on the menu. Portions are notably generous: a single main often stretches between two diners, and the breads are worth ordering extra of. The sweets counter at the front, with rasmalai and gulab jamun, is worth a glance on the way out. Prices are among the lowest for this style of cooking in Ajman, and the kitchen handles spice levels on request.
The room is basic. Tables can need wiping down, lighting in the family section is dim, and summer temperatures upstairs are not always well managed. Service varies sharply between shifts: on a good visit the floor team is brisk and friendly, on a quieter one it can feel inattentive or perfunctory. Consistency is the main caveat, with reports of uneven plates and slow follow-through during busy evenings.
Come for the food rather than the surroundings. Order from the mutton, biryani, and tandoor sections, keep orders straightforward, and Karachi Darbar delivers some of the better-value Pakistani cooking in the emirate. Takeaway is reliably quick and many regulars prefer it to a sit-down meal.

Typical KD style restaurant.. But good service and the usual food. Nothing sooo great. But can bet for a normal food range. The mutton range is really good .. Can try .. Value Service Food Atmosphere Review collected in partnership with this restaurant

This is the first restaurant that comes to my mind if I am around Ajman and wants to have food. The food is amazing, service is good, family section is available. At times (although not always), finding a parking may be a task. Would love to visit again and again! Value Service Food Atmosphere Review collected in partnership with this restaurant

Though its value for money, the customer service is third class. I am surprised how they still have a ISO certification.. Staff is very rude...
