Description
McGettigan's Ajman is the UAE outpost of the long-running Irish pub brand, tucked alongside the Radisson Blu in Al Jurf and a regular haunt for residents of Ajman and neighbouring Sharjah. The space is genuinely pub-shaped: a central island bar, booths and high tables around the room, pool tables and dart boards to one side, big screens carrying live sport, and an outdoor terrace that comes into its own in the cooler months.
The draw is the pairing of an accessible pub menu with a wide drinks programme. Pints, cocktails, and a rotating beer-of-the-month keep regulars coming back, and happy hour is well-timed for after-work visits. On the food side, the strongest orders are the weekend brunch spread with a carvery section, roast pork belly, BBQ ribs, Irish stew, and a grilled salmon with chorizo ratatouille. The shrimp and calamari pizza is a reliable lighter pick. Live bands play several nights a week and the room tips into sports-bar mode on match days.
Service is the consistent strong point. Several long-standing bartenders and servers are remembered by name by regulars, and the floor team is attentive with drinks and refills. Value is fair for the category by Ajman standards, though food prices can feel high relative to the quieter end of the corniche and the kitchen does not always match the ambition of its menu.
Consistency is the honest caveat. When the kitchen is on form, the brunch, pork belly, and grill plates land well. When it is off, reports of overcooked meat, burnt sides, and a tired finish are not rare. This is also first and foremost a pub rather than a family restaurant, and the bar area is lively and smoky later in the evening. Come for the bar, the live music, the sports, or a boisterous group meal rather than a refined sit-down dinner.

I'm very happy to recommend this to my friend who visited from RAK. We had an amazing time as the place is very cozy, great selection of drinks and amazing food! Thanks to Brandon for being very accommodating with our requests, totally friendly, keeps checking in with us and the strawberry daiquiri he made was superb. Definitely will be back. If you would like to watch sports, play pool, enjoy happy hour - this is the place! Value Service Food Review collected in partnership with this restaurant

Visited McGettigan's Ajman and tried the brunch voucher I bought from Groupon. We were welcomed and assisted by Mr. Brendon, he's very professional, friendly and efficient. He explained the food and made a suggestion. All of we selected were amazingly delicious. If only we reside in Ajman, I can probably eat here everyday. The place was relaxing and astonishing. One of the server, Melo, was also very accommodating. Kudos to the whole team, including the chefs! Perfect overall experience.

As often as my wife and I dine out and have frequented this establishment, the service remains excellent as the quality of the food continues to get worse. When you can't make a burger right, you burn fries, and the food is tasteless in general you must realize change is an absolute if you wish to remain in business. Suggestions don't seem to impact a better product so we simply won't return.
