Salt & Sea is the Fairmont Ajman's pool and beach bar, a breezy daytime outpost set between the main pool and a private stretch of beach on the corniche. It functions as a swim-up bar, casual lunch spot, and sunset hangout rolled into one, and most of its appeal comes from that location: tables catch the afternoon breeze, the sea sits a few paces away, and the Ajman sunset is directly on view. The kitchen keeps things intentionally light and crowd-pleasing. Wood-fired pizzas, club sandwiches, a generous Caesar, a seared tuna nicoise, and a well-judged Neapolitan mushroom pasta are the safer orders, and it is worth asking about the catch of the day. Fish and chips is reliably done. Drinks are the real draw: ice-cold draught beer, a full cocktail list built around poolside classics, non-alcoholic options made with the same care, and a happy hour in the early afternoon that pulls the bar into its stride. Service is consistently the talking point. The team runs hard in the heat and is genuinely warm with regulars and day-pass guests alike, remembering names and drinks orders across a stay. Day passes are available for non-guests, with a small food and drink minimum included, and the private cabana setup with Bali beds suits families or small groups willing to book ahead. Salt & Sea is a lunch and sundowner destination rather than a dinner venue. Seating can fill up quickly on busy afternoons and the menu is deliberately compact, so diners after a fuller evening meal are better served elsewhere in the resort. For a long, easy afternoon by the water with a cold drink and an unhurried plate, it is one of the more pleasant rooms on the Ajman corniche.
