Habak Al Sham is a Levantine cafe-restaurant on the Ajman Corniche, a short walk from the Wyndham Garden, with a second-floor terrace facing the water and the Persian Gulf beyond. The draw is the setting and the shisha as much as the food: the terrace catches the breeze in the cooler months, and the hookah corner is handled by experienced preparers and consistently singled out as one of the better ones in the area. The kitchen sticks to Syrian and broader Levantine classics, with Aleppo kebab, kebab hashkhash and grilled meats among the better choices, portions running generous and tortillas brought to the table alongside mains. A prepared breakfast spread is available and reasonably priced. Desserts, particularly the pistachio pancakes and cheesecake, are a pleasant way to close a meal with coffee. Service can be uneven. On good days the floor team and management are attentive and hospitable; on busier services, drink orders and simple requests can take longer than they should, and there have been complaints about pressure to leave positive ratings at the table and charges for untouched bottled water.
