Dragon's Place, the pan-Asian restaurant inside the Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, is one of the Corniche's more polished sit-down rooms, trading on a Japanese-Thai menu and an outdoor terrace that looks out towards the Gulf. The setting is calm and stylishly restrained, with soft background music, intimate lighting and enough space between tables to suit a business lunch, a family celebration or a quiet dinner for two. A live teppanyaki counter adds theatre to the dining room, with the chefs running a knife-and-fire performance that is confident rather than gimmicky. The kitchen is at its strongest with sushi and the Thai side of the menu. The sushi platters are consistently fresh and generously cut, the tom yum soup has real depth, and the seafood fried rice is a quiet favourite among regulars. Teppanyaki teriyaki chicken, tempura and a well-composed surf and turf set menu are also worth ordering, and the sticky mango rice is the standout finish to the meal. An all-you-can-eat sushi option makes the room surprisingly good value for the setting, while chef's-choice omakase plates reward diners happy to let the kitchen lead. The restaurant is alcohol-free in line with the hotel, which is the main caveat for guests expecting a sake or beer pairing. Service is the other reason the room is so consistently full. The floor team is genuinely warm and attentive, with long-serving hosts who remember regulars, handle special occasions with care and guide first-timers through the menu without pressure. Combined with the terrace view and steady kitchen, it adds up to one of the most reliable dinner destinations in Ajman for Japanese and Thai cooking.
