Bukhara, tucked inside the Ajman Hotel on the Corniche, is a serious North Indian restaurant that draws on the legacy of its namesake in Delhi and delivers a near-identical menu with equal conviction. The dining room leans into a warm, vintage aesthetic of copper, low light and heavy wood, setting a more formal mood than most kitchens in Ajman, though the service style remains genuinely warm rather than stiff. It shares the hotel's leisure complex, which includes a bowling alley and a separate licensed bar, so alcohol is available and the broader setting suits both quiet dinners and longer group evenings.
The kitchen specialises in tandoor and slow-cooked northern classics, and the menu rewards ordering with intent. The mutton raan is the signature and best shared, while the tandoori lamb chops, lamb biryani and home-style mutton curry are reliable anchors. Vegetarians are equally well served: the dal makhani is properly rich, the paneer tikka masala is a regular recommendation, and the papdi chaat and stuffed mushroom starters hold their own. The rumali roti arrives enormous and is best eaten quickly before it stiffens. Portions run generous throughout, which helps offset pricing that sits at the upper end for the emirate.
Floor service is a defining strength, with long-serving staff who guide first-timers through the menu, pace courses sensibly and check in without hovering. The kitchen is consistent, which is why many guests plan the drive from Dubai or Sharjah specifically for a meal here. A small number of less favourable notes concern occasional miscommunication on dietary requirements and a slightly chewy raan on a bad day, so it is worth being explicit about preferences when ordering. For anyone seeking destination-grade Indian cooking in Ajman, it remains the benchmark.

Fantastic, authentic Indian cuisine, could not have asked for more, great service and food, (try the king prawn cashew dish) Many thanks to the service of Samiro, Sumi and Nizar, and a special thanks to Gagan the chef who cooked these incredible dishes!

Simply fantastic. We ordered the usual signature dishes that we used to at the Delhi branch and they were exactly the same. One of the very few restaurants where you just finished your dinner and you already wish you could start all over again. A dream.

This restaurant has the best Indian food in the UAE! The staff, restaurant decor, and atmosphere are all perfect. The food is incredibly tasty and bursting with flavor. We make a point to come to this restaurant every time we are in Ajman. This time, Nizar, Sumi, and Disha served us. They made sure we had a really special experience. They were attentive with great recommendations and excellent service. Value Service Food
