When you first enter "Al Roof" you're greeted by the breathtaking panoramic seaview, it almost feels like the restaurant is floating midst sea. Most tables are positioned to take full advantage of the views but prior reservation is recommended. The space is big and open with a relatively big kids play area. Once seated you're presented with a fairly large selection of Arabic and western dishes. Portion sizes are very good but starting off with a few appetizers like 'hummus' and 'mutabbal' is advisable, just to get the full experience of Levantine cuisine. The grilled meats are excellent but personally speaking the best a section of the menu is the 'Sawani' section and specifically the 'Kebab Hindi'. Also alot of shisha flavour are available, I'm not much of a shisha smoker but my friends tell me it's one of the best they tried. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we were surprised by how fast our food was served . I highly recommend this place for its unmatched sea views and excellent food. I live in Dubai but I frequently take the 40 mins drive to get to AL Roof because it's impossible to get the same experience in dubai at that price.
