Wanted to share a recent experience as a client in a an Italian restaurant named prego in a well reputed group of hotels like ROTANA , sadly one of the most average experiences I have had, the meat was very over cooked they even didn’t ask me, how I prefer it if well done or medium well, I didn’t see the menu and asked the manager Paulo to choose for me , his choice was so basic honestly I have tried lots of better options in Italian and non Italian restaurants before, then after I paid I checked he chose for me the highest priced dish on the menu , he was so busy to come and check upon my satisfaction, the waiter Assim who was in charge of serving me ,told me he was the one informed on my Behalf on how the meat shall be done , I don’t know how this can happen how a waiter decide for a client who is paying more than 250 dirhams for a basic dish how to eat especially in meats , the place was full of Italians , the manager Paulo was all taking care of them and leaving only the waiter to come and check my table , this attitude doesn’t match our vibes or hospitality, I didn’t eat the gluten free bread they served me, it seems that no coordination between the team , though I had a chance to meet the chef Antonio he was very polite and welcoming , but the staff were unprofessional . Over all , expensive and it doesn’t deserve the amount of money paid for it, didn’t like it and don’t recommend you to try it. Insider tip: Better don’t visit it except if you are Italian
