Madang is a dedicated Korean restaurant at Al Ghazal Golf Club, one of the more authentic Korean dining experiences available in Abu Dhabi. The restaurant takes its Korean identity seriously - from the traditional interior design and floor-style seating options to a K-pop soundtrack and a Korean supermarket attached next door where guests can pick up sauces, snacks, and desserts from Korea on the way out. The Korean BBQ is the centrepiece. LA galbi, bulgogi, short ribs, and rib-eye are grilled tableside with marinades that taste properly Korean rather than adapted for the local palate. The fried chicken comes in garlic and yangnyeom varieties, both crispy and well-seasoned. Beyond the grill, the tteokbokki delivers genuine heat and chew, the japchae is silky and flavourful, and the dolsot bibimbap arrives in a proper hot stone bowl with the rice crackling at the edges. The seafood pancake is a reliable starter, and the house bingsu - shaved ice with fruit and cream - closes the meal as a lighter counterpoint. Portions are notably generous throughout. The setting overlooks the golf course, which makes for a pleasant backdrop particularly before sunset on cooler evenings.
