Villa Toscana

Villa Toscana is the Italian fine-dining restaurant at the St. Regis Abu Dhabi, a warm and elegant room designed to evoke a Tuscan country house. The kitchen, led by Chef Giuseppe Arria - a Michelin Young Chef Award recipient - draws from the regions of Tuscany, Umbria, and Emilia-Romagna, with handmade pasta at its core. The pici al ragu is rich and deeply flavoured, the gnocchi comes recommended with a truffle pairing, and the eggplant parmigiana has earned a devoted following for its lightness and precision. A complimentary truffle bread arrives at the table and sets the tone immediately. Beyond pasta, the menu covers classic Italian ground confidently: burrata with basil and tomatoes, a properly crisp veal Milanese of impressive size, Chilean sea bass cooked with care, and pizzas that hold their own alongside the more refined plates. Tiramisu closes the meal well. The wine list skews Italian and pairs naturally with the food. The outdoor terrace overlooks the Corniche road and the beach beyond, and on cooler evenings it offers one of the more romantic dining settings in Abu Dhabi. The hostess team is notably warm and multilingual, and the serving staff are knowledgeable enough to guide ordering with confidence. The restaurant handles celebrations well, with thoughtful touches for birthdays and anniversaries. Complimentary valet parking is included. Service can occasionally dip during quieter evenings when staffing thins out, but on form this is one of the stronger Italian restaurants in the capital.
